Make your own toothpaste and mouthwash – what a great way to green your household even more! I’ve recently stopped using toothpaste and made the switch to tooth powder. I’ve tried two different kinds now and am quite enjoying the healthy feeling it gives my teeth and gums. In lieu of that, I thought I would find some easy oral care recipes for you to make at home. Read on, my lovelies!
Toothpowder is really not hard to make and tastes GREAT!
4 tbsp bentonite clay
1 tbsp Bicarbonate of Soda (optional – I chose to leave this out and it still works brilliantly!)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp- 1tbsp clove (to taste)
1 tbsp xylitol
3 tbsp calcium and magnesium tablets crushed into powder
This is my favourite way to make toothpaste so far! My family used this toothpowder for a year now and we love it.
Mix all ingredients together and use! You can adjust how much xylitol and clove/cinnamon to add to your taste. Tastes really yummy.
