3 Easy Steps to Selling Products From Home

Pauline Susman, Soap Alchemist Extraordinaire

Have you considered selling products from home?  Nourish Natural Soaps has a range of yummy products that your customers, friends and family will love

Think about these questions;

Do you use environmentally friendly products in your household to benefit you and your loved ones?

Are you keen to earn extra income by selling natural, handcrafted products to your friends, family and social network?

If your answer is yes, then there is a great chance you would do very well in selling handmade products.  Lucky for you, selling products from the comfort of your home is not difficult and can be financially rewarding

As it turns out, we could all do with some extra cash from time to time.  What better way could there be than to earn it while you do something you really enjoy?  Selling a variety of handmade soaps, shampoos and body butters can be rewarding and enjoyable and you don’t have to have a big organization to do it.   The products in the Nourish Soaps range also have that magic ingredient most desired when selling something…. they are consumables! The advantage of this is that you can organize exactly the same group of friends 3 months later and re-sell all over again.

What are your costs?

In order to start selling products from home, you should have a small stock of goods to show your customers. In common with most other sales plans you can buy these items directly from me at the wholesale discounted rate.  I can make up a trial pack for you with my bestsellers and if you are not ready to pay up front, a consignment option is available.

How does it work?

Most people find it fairly easy to sell to friends and family or organize a party but then get bogged down in the paperwork afterwards.  I want to make it easier for you than that.  I want you to be able to concentrate on selling and not admin!

I am ready to start selling, now what?

So you are ready to start selling my range of lovely products from home, an outlet or to friends.  First things first, register as a wholesaler on my site.  Either click the link at the end of this article, or click on ‘wholesale registration’ in the blue bar at the top of this page.

Once you’ve done that, you will have access to my wholesale prices and monthly wholesale specials.  Go ahead and place an order for minimum R 800.00 excluding courier fees.  To make it really easy, you can also opt for the starter pack which has everything in it you will need to start selling.

That is all there is to it.  Easy!  Selling products from home is a fun and rewarding sideline that is easy to set up and maintain.  Besides which, you will now have affordable handmade body products to use for yourself and your family as well!

It is best to point out now that all the items you will sell are handmade.  Due to the nature of the products, because they are handmade in small batches, there are things to take into consideration.

1. In the very rare event that the products you want are not in stock, then the lead time can be as much as 2 weeks.  This mainly applies to the soap as it has to set and cure before it can be sold.

2. The colours and scents may not be exactly the same as your sample and can differ batch to batch.  But that is the beauty of imperfection eh?!

3. Always buy stock in advance and advise your customers accordingly.

Places are carefully monitored so that there are not too many agents in a particular geographical location. Agents can include shops, beauty salons, hairdressers or any appropriate retail outlet…
