Summer is coming to and end and with the cooler weather comes drier skin. I've started using Shea butter as a regular moisture booster but not everyone is sure how to tackle extremely dry skin. If you are in that boat, fear not! I've got your back with some quick and friendly tips to boost your skin's radiance in no time. Say goodbye to dullness and hello to luminosity with these simple yet effective tricks for skin care.

Tip #1 - Stay Hydrated, Inside and Out

Let's kick things off with the oldest trick in the book—hydration! Remember, happy skin is hydrated skin. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin plump and moisturized from the inside out. Additionally, don't forget to quench your skin's thirst externally by using a hydrating moisturizer or facial mist. Trust me, your complexion will thank you for the hydration boost!

Some of the things that work for me...

  • Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning.

  • Invest in a fun or fancy water bottle.

  • Use alarms or notifications to your advantage.

  • Focus on your body's signals.

  • Drink a glass of water before each meal.

Tip #2 - Get Your Beauty Sleep To Up your Skin Care

Ah, the power of beauty sleep—it's not just a myth, my dear friends! Your skin works hard to repair and rejuvenate itself while you snooze, so make sure you're getting enough shut-eye each night. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep to allow your skin plenty of time to regenerate and wake up looking refreshed and revitalized.

Tip #3 - Cleanse and Exfoliate Regularly

Say goodbye to dull, lifeless skin by incorporating regular cleansing and exfoliation into your skincare routine. Cleansing helps to remove dirt, oil, and impurities from your pores, while exfoliation sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal a brighter complexion underneath. Opt for a gentle cleanser and exfoliator suitable for your skin type, and be sure not to overdo it—gentle is the key!

I love using my handcrafted face polish because it has wonderful benefits for my complexion (and it smells divine!)

Tip #4 - Feed Your Skin Nutrient-Rich Foods

When it comes to feeding your skin, quality matters. Choose nutrient-dense foods that are packed with vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids to nourish your skin from the inside out. Think avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, and whole grains, all of which provide a wide array of nutrients to support healthy skin function.

Look for masks infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, or kaolin clay to target specific skin concerns and leave your skin glowing like never before.
